[Shortly after this thread, Riddick walks out of his breakfast shift and back to his room. He will not be answering network communication. His door is locked but his friends' access is still active.]

[His morning routine has mutated into something including coffee and bothering Riddick during breakfast. He has coffee while musing on bloody vengeance on banshees and one-legged naga, and notices that something's missing.

Arthas' next stop is Riddick's cabin. He knocks, then tries to open the door without waiting for a response.]

[Afternoon, new years eve. Five days into her toll. She feels mostly human again. She's heard, from Ben and Arthas, waited until she knew she had the reserves to deal with him without projecting like a petulant child. She knocks crisply.]

It's me.

[She'll come in anyway, if she doesn't get an answer. But she waits first, anyway.]

[Ben hears about Riddick walking out; of course he does. The two of them work too closely in tandem not to. He gives directions over the communicators, taps Alex to cover, and goes to Anya first; then, certain that she is as okay as he can make her for the time being, he goes to find Riddick.

It would have been different, if Sylvanas weren't already dead and in zero. It would have been different if he'd heard of anything at all happening. But he didn't, so this is how it is: he knocks on the door, calls through it. When there is no answer, he tries the handle and comes in.]
